These essential washer incorporate serrations to keep the axle from slipping forward, and also features tabs that keep the axle from rotating in the frame due to pedaling torque. If you're using a Sturmey-Archer hub on a newer frame made for a wider axle, you need the HMW494 with 9.5 mm (~0,37 inches) tabs instead.
