The rear motor or rear wheel motor is, as the name suggests, located in the rear wheel of the bicycle. This location makes the rear of the bike slightly heavier than the front and gives the motor plenty of thrust to help move forward. The rear motor can be used with derailleur gears and thus offers a wide range of gear ratios.
