🛠️ Practical Workshop Tip: The standard axle hole bore is 9 mm. When mounting on thicker solid rear axles (e.g., on many internal gear hubs or older bicycles), the hole can easily be drilled out to 10 mm with a suitable metal drill bit if necessary.
