General information:
The rim tape protects the tube from damage by the rim. Spoke nipples, rim holes and possible metal burrs of the rim could otherwise damage the bicycle inner tube. Rim tapes are placed around the rim and are made of durable and sturdy material.

The rim tape is closed and is pulled onto the wheel with appropriate tension and then moved into position.
